Why Choose Alpaca Fiber?

Discover the premium qualities that make alpaca the ultimate luxury fiber

Alpaca fiber has unique thermal properties that naturally adapt to your body temperature. The hollow fiber structure creates insulating air pockets that keep you warm when it's cold, while the breathable nature allows heat to escape when it's warm.

Unlike synthetic materials that trap moisture and heat, alpaca fiber wicks away perspiration while maintaining optimal comfort throughout the day.

Alpaca fiber is naturally lanolin-free, making it ideal for people with wool allergies or sensitive skin. The smooth fiber surface reduces irritation and itching that can occur with traditional wool.

The natural antimicrobial properties help resist odors and bacteria, keeping your garments fresh longer while being gentle on even the most delicate skin.

Alpacas have a minimal environmental footprint compared to other fiber-producing animals. They graze gently without damaging root systems, require less water, and produce more fiber per animal than sheep.

Our alpaca products represent a sustainable choice that supports traditional farming communities while providing you with a renewable, biodegradable luxury fiber that lasts for decades.

Alpaca fiber is renowned for its incredible softness and lustrous appearance. The fine diameter of the fibers creates a silky-smooth texture that rivals cashmere, while being significantly more durable.

Unlike other luxury fibers that may pill or lose their shape, alpaca garments maintain their beauty and softness for years, making them a worthwhile investment in your wardrobe.

Special Special Order - little correction

I got spellchecked and did not notice before posting my review! I intended to write and post that Rebekah's hands made these gloves for my HANDS, not "my dads:: Don't even know how that happened!!! Yikes.

Special Special Order

I already had a positive feel for Alpacas of Montana but now I'm over the moon. Because I have a crummy arthritis in my hands and wanted to warm the joints but still be able to type I looked at the wristies and they seemed to be what I wanted however I wanted them in the same alpaca yarn as the fingerless gloves.

Long! story short, I was put in touch with the actual knitter crafter, Rebekah, who helped me provide her the measurements she needed over a delightful phone call with her and well, here I am today with my beautiful, perfect Ocean blue alpaca yarn wristies. Because of both the warm and fun phone call I had with Rebekah and the fact that I know her hands made these for my dads, these gloves are really special for me. I can tell they will last me years and give me the same comfort I feel from them today. I send my best, happiest praise and thanks to everyone who made my special order happen but mostly to dear Rebekah. PS...I just ordered 2 more pair of socks today too.

The warmth of alpaca is like a warm embrace on a cold or achy day. LOVE!
