Great coat

The size was too big for me. That said, I liked the jacket. Looked sharp, had some nice features and I’m guessing very warm and cozy. The zipper could be more robust, but that was the only thing I would improve on because I use my jackets roughly.

Ultimate Winter Coat

This jacket blew my mind when I received it. I needed a new coat to wear snowmobiling in Vail, Colorado, and my ultimate goal was to make sure I wasn't cold even when the wind blew. This jacket delivered that and so much more. There was so much thought that went into the design - and it shows. First, this jacket is heavy right out of the box. But as I was told, if it wasn't heavy, you would be cold. I was out in the elements for 6 hours, on the tops of several mountain peaks, with blowing snow, with temperature highs in the low teens, and this jacket delivered. Not once did I feel cold, and even when I got warm, I never felt like I was sweating. The pockets were also well thought out - I had pockets galore for my Cuffed Alpaca Gloves, my Winter Fleece Lined Alpaca Beanie, and my Rocky Mountain Alpaca Neck Gaiter on the exterior, and then had room for chapstick and phone on the interior. There are also multiple ways to cinch the jacket tighter when needed, and then easily loosen back up for extra mobility. Plenty of room for multiple layers underneath, however I didn't feel like I needed anything except for my base layer (not Alpaca, but once they are back in stock in my size I will be purchasing as well). This jacket is well worth the money, especially when it is far superior to the top name brands that claim to provide the same features and fall short every time.

Say hello to your ultimate winter jacket: the Women’s Granite Peak Expedition Parka. Our most advanced jacket yet, the Granite Peak is crafted for the extreme, with unparalleled warmth thanks to AlpacaTek® Technology. A triple layer construction provides water, wind, and snow resistance, while a drop-back hem adds additional protection in the rear. Polar Fleece lining around the chin, cheeks, and ears makes even the coldest days tolerable, and a sleek, malleable interior lining provides a softer fit and increased mobility. Made with upcycled alpaca fill, the parka is three to four times warmer than Merino wool, with 85% greater moisture wicking abilities and a fraction of the bulk. Pair it with one of our base layers or mid-layers for maximum efficiency and comfort.
