Alpacas of Montana

My daughter has loved Alpacas for years so when I saw this recommended as something to do on our recent trip to MT, I knew we had to go! She’s 17 and I figured we would be there with a group of very young children. However, to my surprise, it was mostly adults! Our tour guide was Fiona and she was excellent! So knowledgeable, friendly and funny! We had a blast playing with the alpacas and learning about their history. If we’re ever in MT again we will definitely spend the money to return for a fun filled day at the alpaca farm.

We LOVED our time at the alpaca farm and Jenna was a great guide! We learned so much and fell in love with the alpacas! They are beautiful and well-behaved. Getting to be up close with them was so special and holding the little baby was pure sweetness. Highly recommend!

This seemed like an expensive activity, but the reviews were great so we booked it to take our three grandkids ages nine through 11. It was the highlight of our camping weekend! Grace was so sweet and she was kind to our kiddos. The alpacas were adorable and friendly. The kids didn’t stop talking about it all weekend. We will definitely do this again the next time we are in the area.

Had a great experience at the tour, and Fiona was amazing. But what I wasn't expecting was to fall in love with the dogs that protect the herd. Massive gentle giants and love people too. Had a great tour!

Our tour guide Jenna made us feel so welcome from the beginning and throughout the entire tour. She was well organized, had clear communication and instructions with a schedule that had so much included! We got a history of the animal, their owners, the other animals on the farm and types of alpacas. We got to each walk one on a leash, take personalized photos, feed them, I even got to hold a baby! The knowledge and confidence she had surrounding the animals was incredible . The store was full of high quality alpaca items and very friendly staff. It was easy to find location, lots of parking, shady places to cool off and overall very sanitary and clean feeling. We highly recommend and it was well worth the price , we would come back again! Thanks Jenna for an unforgettable adventure :)

Our guide, Jenna, was so knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. We had so much fun meeting the alpacas and llamas and learned a lot about these cuddly camelids! The tour is very "hands-on" and we got to pet alpacas, take them for a walk on a lead line, and hold a baby. Plenty of awesome photo opps!

Our tour guide Gracie was super amazing we had a lot of fun feeding and walking the llama and alpaca.

Fiona Beatty was an outstanding guide for this unique experience. Not only was it educational, it provided opportunities for literal hands-on interactions with the alpacas, llamas and dogs. It definitely was a highlight of our stay in Bozeman. I highly recommend it!

Best farm tour I've ever had! Gracie, our tour guide, was amazing. The pacing and balance between education and alpaca interaction was amazing. I had a lovely time and learned so much. I expected my granddaughters to have a lovely time, not me! What a wonderful experience.

We joined this tour with our two young daughters (6 and 3) and it was an amazing experience. Our guide, Jenna, was knowledgeable and personable and the animals were so sweet. The tour itself was great—but then we got a very special treat: we got to witness (and HELP WITH) the birth of a (yet-to-be-named) alpaca. The owner, James was excellent. He was calm, got the group involved (he wanted my 6 year old to help deliver the baby but she was too shy), and shared really awesome information with us throughout the birth and moments after. As if that wasn’t enough, we got a bald eagle flying overhead just as the baby was born! Nature was giving us a treat but it was clear that Jenna & James love what they do which made it an overall magical experience. A highlight of our Montana trip.

We really enjoyed this. We were there 8/1/25. Vacation memories made that will last a lifetime. My 12 year old son’s favorite part of our entire Yellowstone vacation. Absolutely don’t miss this gem.

My niece and I took the tour on 8/1/25 and it exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide (Gracie) was knowledgeable, well spoken and made the tour a blast for all ages.

Jenna was the perfect tour guide. We learned so much from her. She was so gracious with the little kids who were scared of some of the animals. She catered to the needs of humans and animals. Leading the alpaca and holding the baby was such a fun experience. I highly recommend Alpacas of Montana!

I have loved llamas & alpacas for 4+ decades now and this tour was by far the most up close & personal —and fun — tour ever. Grace was a fantastic guide. Loved every second!

Oh my god!! Where do I even begin?! From the moment I walked into the shop to check-in for my tour everything was amazing! Grace greeted us with the biggest smile and warm welcome. My friend and I went on our way back from Yellowstone and do not regret one second of the visit!! Grace was so kind and gave amazing information. You can tell the family really loves and cares for every animal on the farm.

It is NOT a petting zoo but an amazing family that loves every animal and the farm as a whole. I will be bringing my kids and in-laws back in the next few months! Highly highly recommend everyone going and experiencing this amazing farm!
