Alpacas of Montana: Who We Are and What that Means
We've had some people confuse us with other brands and we want to reiterate that our company and brand is Alpacas of Montana and we are in no way affiliated with Alpaca Land at Sentinel Ranch or any other Alpaca clothing or retail company.
So what sets us apart?
We never ever eat our animals. Our animals are our family and they are treated as such.
We make every yarn and fabric from scratch that we use in our products. Our Owner, James Budd, is the mastermind behind every single product, yarn and fabric that we create. We don’t wholesale from already created products -- everything we sell is created uniquely by us and for Alpacas of Montana.
Our farm is Predator-Friendly and committed to ethical and environmental best practices. This means that some of our priorities include: paying all of our employees living wages, working with Indigenous populations whenever we can, working within our community to provide jobs within our hometown, being inclusive of all people no matter their race, sexual or gender identity, promoting diversity and inclusion, offering equal opportunities to be employed within Alpacas of Montana and being the best stewards to the earth that we can.
Alpaca Fleece vs. Merino Sheep's Wool
Alpaca fleece offers more warmth and 85% greater wicking properties than merino wool, and is also hypoallergenic, softer than cashmere and eco-friendly.
I have purchased a beanie cap and fingerless gloves as a Christmas present in two separate orders. I had questions that were responded to right away. I am extremely pleased with the quality of the materials and handmade details in the knitting. These are great products that I can recommend without hesitation.
ALL Alpacas of Montana products we have ever tried are amazing! My favorite cozy socks are the extra cushion boot sock, but I just got the new walking/hiking socks and they are incredible, too--I'm wearing them all the time! No other socks compare, for any activity. These really are the best socks on the planet! And all from a wonderful company, something I can feel really good about.
Knocked my socks off, literally knocked my previous socks off my feet because I don’t think I’ll be able to wear anything else. Brought a pair while in Bozeman to give them a try. Got home, tried them on, and by the end of the day I was online ordering more. They are comfortable and keep my feet dry. Highly recommend the socks, awesome customer service, and fast shipping.
