In order to test out that it does not stop the wind try blowing thru the hat. Once you do you will see that your hands can feel the air that you blow thru the hat. That is what tells you that it does not really stop the wind. Hopefully you can improve it though :) let me know if you do, thank you.
Thank you for feedback. We use 9501 Windstopper Pro Polar fleece for our Windstopper Liners. You are right, the wind is not completely blocked out of the hat. We used to use a 200 WindPro style which completely stopped all wind, but it was not breathable. When I would go out to feed alpacas and horse in Montana winters, my head still off-gases / sweats and I would be miserable and really uncomfortable. So, we have since used the Windstopper Liner 9501 for the past decade. This is much more breathable and comfortable all the way around. But, this hat is not for everyone. So, please send the hat back and you will receive the full refund for the hat.
May not be a pretty hat, though I have to admit it’s my go to hat when out in 30 degrees surf casting…
It is the warmest had I ever had
A alpaca beanie underneath cap adds to the comfort for me!
This hat is perfect for Minnesota cold. It is toasty without being too hot. The drawstring will snuggle the hat around your ears when needed. I love it.
I wore this hat for the first time today it was 21 degrees out and my head was sweating
I sat out for 5 hrs great hat
I bought this for my husband's Christmas present. I bought it because it seemed lighter weight (not thick & bulky) and fairly attractive looking. We are going on a cruise to Alaska but also, in Washington state, the weather here can be quite cold, rainy & sometimes snowy. I wanted something that looked nice altho' it did seem a bit pricey at the time. That said, he says it's the warmest hat he has ever owned & he loves it. I know it will last and last as good quality products should.
