The jacket is very cozy and I like the fit and the hood. The pocket zips aren't very long and I sometimes have trouble getting my hands into them. The jacket is bulkier than I expected, but it's not heavy to wear. It hasn't been cold here yet so I don't know how it will work during the winter.
I have bought several items from this company and everything is high quality and this jacket did not disappoint. The color is spectacular and the weight of the jacket is perfect for my travels to cold areas.
The minute you put this jacket on you can feel the quality! There is so much attention to detail! I love how deep the front pockets are (11" deep!!!) - great for full hand coverage plus room to store things without risking them falling out, and they zipper shut. There is also a decent sized zippered pocket on the inside (6" x 6.5") as well as two deep open pouch pockets (6" x 11"!). The insulated hood is big enough to accommodate a winter hat (and possibly a helmet as well?) without being huge. When the front zipper is closed all the way, the lower face is protected to the mouth and the zipper is covered so it doesn't irritate the skin. There is a well stitched 1" protection flap behind the zipper that prevents wind from coming through and all the edges are well stitched and sealed for comfort and warmth. The cut and the lines of the jacket are so complimentary for the female body! It's well insulated and feels substantial without being overly bulky. I've worn this in really cold sub-zero temps and wind in the Montana winter and stayed comfortable and yet I can wear it on warm winter days without being overheated - the magic of alpaca fleece! And speaking of alpaca fleece, I love knowing I can get wet in this jacket and the fleece will wick away the moisture and not pack down/clump like down. I love the rich blue color and the beautiful logo too. This is easily the best jacket I've ever owned! Highly highly recommended!
